Upon entering this romantic dreamland, diners quickly forget about the busy island roads and slip into extended moments of bliss. A Samui favourite for many years, for good reason.

Zazen restaurant keeps things simple and beautiful, from kind and helpful staff to pleasing decor. To start, waygu beef tartare with tomato compote is a perfect treat to share across the table. Consistently a top choice, Canadian lobster with roasted butter is a fine looking dish with its mousseline of peas. Going by the name of five spices, the supremely aromatic platter combines caramelised duck breast with spices, zucchini and prune stew with ginger, baby potatoes and garlic confit. The dessert options are plentiful and absolutely stunning. Truly, every taste and yearning seems satisfied here.
