The 9th Floor, with commanding views of Patong Beach and the Andaman Sea, has built a solid reputation as one of Phuket's best-known dining destinations featuring a classic European fine dining menu enhanced with fresh local seafood.

Serving Western favourites such as a comprehensive selection of Australian beef cuts, the restaurant has three outstanding tasting menus: surf and turf, meat and seafood. Diners can mix and match selections from these. An excellent choice is the rib, a premium boneless angus beef short rib slow cooked for 72 hours using the sous vide method. It is served with pommes galette, confit of bell pepper and thyme onions with buttered jus. Another noted specialty—and one of the restaurant’s long term favourites—is balikstyle smoked Tasmanian salmon with dill mascarpone, tempura capers and ground black pepper. New Zealand lamb chops with a crisp pesto crust is also popular. Of special note are the interesting and tasty 9th Floor fondues, a rarity on Phuket. For dessert be sure to try 9th Floor affogato, Movenpick vanilla ice cream served with a hot shot of rich Illy espresso poured on top.
