Start with either oyster box or scallop ceviche cone for a gentle entre into New York’s dining scene. Serious meat connoisseurs need look no further than the huge tomahawk steak. Juicy and tender, it is highly recommended. As is the 250- gram meatpacking burger topped with crispy bacon, avocado, beetroot and signature truffle mayonnaise. The delicious charred bone marrow is served with caramelised onions and a dill foam. For non-beef eaters, options include charred salmon filet, barbecue pork belly sliders, chicken waffles and superb US-style mac and cheese featuring gruyere, cheddar, roquefort, fire-roasted tomatoes and crispy bacon. Desserts also delve into New York’s culinary heritage with apple cheesecake and peanut butter popsicles, but the restaurant’s innovative approach is perfectly illustrated by a chocolate chip cookie shaped into a cup which is then filled with warm, thick milk.
