Begin with traditional Thai delicacies. River prawns in a sweet spicy sauce served in a lotus leaf is not only beautiful to look at, it provides a light yet aromatic start to the meal. Another traditional appetiser is rarai na poo or rice thread noodles with crabmeat served in small bite sizes. A signature salad is crab with cha-kram, a Thai vegetable that explodes with a salty flavour reminiscent of seaweed. Rich aromatic, slightly spicy coconut sauce binds the dish together. New Zealand lamb shank in massaman curry is both rich and hearty, with fork tender meat. The hot and sour soup with grilled prawn is a much lighter option, yet it packs a large punch of flavour and aroma. For desserts, choose from well-known Thai options.
