Sam’s has the sophistication of a fine dining establishment in the heart of Patong. For years it has served some of the best beef options available on the island. The spacious dining room is comfortable, service is attentive and the well-balanced menu and drink list make this a popular eatery.

Naturally the menu includes numerous cuts of prime beef such as wagyu T-bone, black angus sirloin and a hearty Australian rib-eye. A feature dish is Andaman beef & reef, an Australian beef fillet paired with local Phuket lobster flambeed in a light curry sauce at the table. Starters encompass classic favourites such as avocado crab salad and crab and shrimp cocktail, both superbly presented. Imported French and Australian oysters are offered but don’t overlook the tempting scallops and shrimp flambe or tasty foie gras miso soup. There is a broad choice of other imported meat options such as braised tender Australian ox cheek and slow-cooked lamb shank. Sam’s is well known for the classic chateaubriand and beef wellington, both prepared for two. Dessert highlights include crepes suzette and creme brulee, either of which is an ideal finish to a satisfying meal.
