One of the best-known Italian restaurants in Bangkok. Rossini’s long-serving executive chef, Sicilian Gaetano Palumbo, serves up authentic Italian dishes in relaxed surroundings that reflect the interior of a stylish Tuscan villa. Service here is also good.

To open, try the signature dish of rosemary smoked salmon, which is smoked salmon marinated in olive oil and fresh rosemary. It is cooked sous vide and served with a topping of cold parmesan cream accompanied by sweet pickled baby onions. For a main course, milk-fed veal tortelli with ricotta truffle sauce is a real indulgence. A recommended dish, it is unctious without being overly heavy. Also very good is seared black cod, which is a generous steak of deep ocean cod seared skin side down until golden and crispy. The naturally sweet flavours of the fish are allowed to shine through the accompanying potato foam and dusting of San Daniele prosciutto. For a light dessert try meringata, which is vanilla meringue with fresh berries and house-made sorbet. Also note that executive chef Palumbo will updating his menu to reflect the spring season.
