Setting

A great place to end your day. The restaurant offers classics from the grill, a good wine list and boasts excellent service and great views over the city.

Food

Cold cuts, pastas and salads are on the menu but grilled seafood and steaks are the stars of the show. Start with fine de claire oysters served with a classic mignonette sauce of minced shallots, cracked pepper and vinegar. Also excellent is yellowfin tuna tartare with wasabi peanuts, pickled ginger, sesame and ponzu. For a main course, Ranger’s Valley rib-eye steak from Australia is recommended. Hot off the grill, it is a tender 300 gram cut cooked to preference and served with a choice of sauces and sides—the green peppercorn sauce and sweet potato wedges are recommended. For an alternative cut try the kobe A4 striploin from Japan, a 150 gram succulent piece of beef char-grilled to perfection and best enjoyed with a rich dark red wine sauce, french fries and sautéed mushrooms. For non-meat eaters, the signature snow fish is a good pick. The dessert menu is surprisingly limited, but well worth trying is baked alaska.
