The diverse menu focuses on seafood but don’t overlook the Japanese and Thai selections. For starters try smoked salmon tartare, one of Palm Seaside’s signature dishes. It features a combination of fresh salmon fillet with a touch of pesto and avocado all intermixed to create a delicate and balanced dish. Do also try pla nueng manao, or whole white snapper swimming in a robust lemon chilli soup blended with garlic, lemongrass and Thai chillies. It is served in a pan above a bed of charcoal to keeping the dish piping hot. Other popular items include large fresh local prawns in a light tamarind sauce and a Phuket favourite, soft shell crabs in yellow curry. There is a generous selection of seafood platters, enjoyed fresh or cooked to your liking, accompanied by homemade sauces such as aioli, tartare and spicy Thai chilli.
