Oceanfront at Kata Rocks sits on the edge of an extensive infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea. Spanish chef Laia Pons has introduced delectable tastes from her native Barcelona. The restaurant also serves an excellent Thai menu.

Since this menu is perfectly balanced between western and Thai tastes, it is a good idea to order appetisers from both selections. There is a seafood platter for two with fine de claire oysters, boiled lobster and fresh local seafood and a very delicious Thai pomelo salad with grilled prawns. Chef Pons has introduced beetroot tartar with green apple and avocado for those with vegetarian tastes. Also good is imported burrata cheese and tomatoes with pesto dressing. Newly offered is Barceloneta seafood rice, a paella of Catalan origins served in a large cooking pan in which a seafood selection has been slowly cooked with Spanish rice. The signature dish of 500 gram double entrecote de boeuf wagyu (M5) is prepared to taste. Even traditional Thai dishes such as gaeng keaw wan gai, green curry with chicken, are exceptional.
