For a great selection of fresh seafood try the signature omakase sashimi, which is available as a choice of of three, five, seven or nine thickly-sliced sashimi. For nigiri, try the platter of seared alfonsino, yellowtail and salmon bellies. Saturated with fat, each bite is served with unique garnishes to enhance the natural sweetness of the fish belly. The rice used in the nigiri is well-balanced and neither too bland nor heavy with vinegar. Another signature is aburi seven, which comprises seared assortments of wagyu beef, fish and other seafood. Penthouse roll is a futomaki-sized uramaki filled with luxurious ingredients. An alternative is grilled beef tongue, which is crisp and flavourful. End the meal with strawberry daifuku or the restaurant’s recommended affogato. Diners should expect to be patient with the speed of service.
