La VIE – Creative French Cuisine has ambitions to offer exciting and creative takes on Gallic cuisine under a French-trained Japanese head chef. With a new menu to be launched in 2018, this is one restaurant to keep an eye on.

Once you manage to work your way around the iPad menus, La Vie has some excellent offerings. Wild mushroom cappuccino makes for a perfect start to the meal, subtly flavoured with a hint of truffle oil to tantalise your taste buds. La VIE – Creative French Cuisine confit duck salad is also highly recommended for a lighter start. It is complemented by the poached egg centrepiece. Black angus rib-eye steak is imported from Australia and innovatively presented in two slices, drizzled with sauce and roasted vegetable puree. Lovers of foie gras will likely gravitate to the everpopular tournedos rossini with foie gras and perigueux sauce. Make sure you save enough space for dessert because passion fruit creme brulee is something of a highlight. It is beautifully smooth with the slight tartness of the passion fruit perfectly offset by the sweet meringue and coconut sorbet.
