Setting

Kisso offers a traditional Japanese menu with several Western-inspired dishes. The emphasis here is on fresh seafood and grilled specialties. Modern details and zen-inspired decor make for an inviting dining space.

Food

While the dinner menu offers a more adventurous selection, stop by for a quick lunch and try the ohiruno mini sumibiyaki course or the set lunch menu that opens with three appetisers of the day especially selected by the chef. Octopus in vinegar jelly is a refreshing starter with its acidity that excites the taste buds. Sashimi plate, which comes with salmon, toro and prawn, is a fresh delight. For a main course, try charcoal-grilled snow fish and prawns served with a variety of vegetables. A healthy option, the fish is nicely charred and pairs well with the sides of Japanese pickles. While the set course menu comes with its own dessert, try umeshu jelly and sake sorbet for a little boozy end to your lunch.

Wine

A selection of wines, sake and cocktails is on offer with knowledgable staff to help with recommendations. The plum gin martini is a refreshing Asian take on a traditional Western cocktail.
