Food

The highlight on the menu is the signature kua kling moo sab, which is minced pork stirfried in a southern curry paste until the meat is steeped in the myriad flavours. Shredded kaffir lime leaves add a citrus note to the aroma. For a soup option, try gaeng luang yod maprao with a choice of large, juicy prawns or pieces of fish. The hot and spicy yellow soup has a lovely tanginess that contrasts well with crunchy young coconut shoots. Another favourite is namprik kung sod or Thai-style spicy shrimp paste served with fresh local vegetables. Those who like the heady flavours of garlic and an after-burn on the palate will also enjoy nua poo pad prik kee noo suan, which is crab meat stir-fried with fresh chilli. Finish off the meal with a traditional cooling dessert such as black grass jelly in sweet longan juice or a refreshing sala in sugar syrup with ice.

Wine

A good selection of Thai fruit juices and drinks infused with local herbs and flowers. A compact wine list is also available, mostly by the bottle.
