The menu has recently been revamped with some interesting international additions. For example, included in the appetisers is a mezze plate featuring hummus, baba ganoush and tabbouleh salad for an intriguing taste of the Middle East. Fried mini blue crab cakes with caponata and caper aioli is a fine starter, as is deconstructed caprese salad using vine cherry tomatoes and small balls of mozzarella with a pesto and aged balsamic dressing. The natural theatre of cooking on hot rocks is a must try. Australian lamb loin, beef tenderloin or sea scallops with harissa are cooked at table on hot stones on a bed of aromatics for added gusto. Paella (for two) with mussels, prawns, clams and lobster is another highly recommended experience, while for meat eaters the 48-hour 1824 short ribs with asparagus and roasted carrot puree is a plate of perfectly prepared and cooked beef. For dessert order key lime pie, which makes a light and refreshing finish.
