Begin with the signature creamy pumpkin soup, served in a pumpkin with a hint of cumin and crunchy bacon bits adding welcome texture. Follow this with home-made tagliatelle in a rich and velvet smooth cream sauce speckled with shaved truffle. Served in either small or larger portions, fresh mussels from around the world are cooked in a variety of sauces. Accompaniments recommended by the staff and well worth trying are spicy bacon and French fries. Request warm country bread to mop up the remainder of the sauce. Lobster, normally Canadian, is grilled and accompanied by roast potatoes, vine tomatoes and several tempting sauces, which vary depending on the time of year. The dessert selection is fairly limited but do leave room for semi-freddo, a half-frozen chocolate and hazelnut dish with a red fruit compote and nutty texture to balance the richness.
