Start off with salmon engawa sushi, a scrumptious burst of flavours that comes with quail egg yolk and an assortment of caviar. Hotate volcano yaki is a common favourite, a combination of generous grilled scallop bites topped with cheese and a spicy cream sauce. The menu also features a nice range of Japanese skewers—try plump scallops, flavourful kurobuta pork toro, and juicy salmon belly. For a hearty treat, go for buta kakuni kamameshi, or tender pork belly with rice. The dish is served in three styles; the original way straight from the pot, mixed with pickled ginger and nori seaweed, or in the form of a porridge with a flavourful soup. For yellowtail lovers, recommended is the DIY hamachi boiled rice. Place fresh slices of fish into a rich pork broth, sprinkle with deep-fried garlic and enjoy with crispy salmon skin. End with red bean daifukus that are freshly made upon ordering.
