Setting

Cocotte serves French cuisine with a large selection of roasted meats, fresh organic vegetables and fine wines in a fun atmosphere with an open kitchen, bar and cold cuts counter.

Food

Small bites and salads are available but for starters try sauteed snails in mushroom, garlic and parsley sauce, which is served with crispy chicken lava egg, or go for something richer like the beautifully plated foie gras and pomelo. The richness of the pan-seared foie gras is contrasted by the tart citrus of the pomelo and sweetness from a crispy coconut tuile. Poultry and meats are the mainstay here and a signature dish to share is tomahawk Australian wagyu. For an individual portion, char-grilled rib-eye wagyu is more manageable. With a marble score of nine, the meat is very succulent and tender. Another dish to share is duck barbarie, a plump imported whole female French duck slow-roasted for 12 hours then browned on the rotisserie. It is served with creamy foie gras and an orange sauce. If you still have room for dessert, Cocotte tiramisu will not disappoint although there are many other sweets on offer that are equally enticing.

Wine

The wine list is varied but predominantly reds with prices ranging from modest to very high. Signature cocktails are also available.
