Setting

It’s always busy and while it can get a little noisy, there is live music and a lively ambience in which to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Prepared with home-made condiments and chilli pastes, dishes here are inspired by classic Thai recipes with a twist.

Food

In Thai style, ordering everything at once to share is recommended but if you wish to have a starter, begin with deep-fried spring rolls or deep-fried chicken wings with chilli and garlic, both of which go well with a glass of beer. For a main course try spicy clear curry with Thai herbs. A true blend of Thai flavours, you have the choice of pork, sea bream or Siam redtail catfish. The latter is highly recommended. Traditional Thai relishes made from shrimp paste are also available. Stir-fried glass noodles with acacia, southern wild beans, garlic pickle and shrimp is another good choice, although the potent aroma of the wild beans takes some getting used to. Those wishing to try something different can opt for chilli basil pizza. Conclude your meal with one of the restaurant’s home-made ice creams. Intriguing flavours include durian, Thai tea, Redbull and o-liang.

Wine

A variety of refreshing cocktails along with rum, whisky and draught beer. A moderate wine list offers labels from Australia, Chile, Argentina and the USA.
