Setting

For great value tandoori cuisine centred on the heady flavours of India’s Northwestern frontier. The space is refined, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service is slick and superb cocktails inspired by the subcontinent pack a punch.

Food

Hot from the restaurant’s three copper-clad tandoor ovens comes a range of excellent char-grilled kebabs perfect for sharing. Start with a signature dish of tender murgh angaar, juicy pieces of chicken spiced with chilli flakes, ginger, garlic, mace, bay leaf and onion juice. Also good is murgh angaar ki pasliya, succulent New Zealand lamb chops marinated in aromatic herbs and spices. Accompany these dishes with a side order of tandoori malai broccoli, large florets marinated in yoghurt, cream cheese, lemon juice and chilli, or the rich dal Charcoal, which is whole urad lentils cooked overnight in the tandoor oven in a sauce of tomatoes, ginger and garlic. A selection of naan, roti and paratha breads are also available. To finish a delightful meal, opt for a light and bright serving of phirni, a custard-style dessert made with cardamom-flavoured milk and ground basmati rice topped with pistachios and almonds.
