Setting

If you are looking for an affordable and memorable culinary experience, Brasserie Cordonnier will not disappoint. Offering classic hearty French dishes, chef Clement Hernandez makes sure to add his own twists to keep things interesting. A good selection of cocktails to match the atmosphere and theme of the restaurant is also available. Expect friendly service.

Food

For starters, try french onion soup with just the right amount of cheese. Succulent mussels in a white wine sauce is an absolute delight, as is escargots cooked with garlic butter and topped with parsley sauce. The main course of cabillaud meuniere, a classic French dish of floured pan-fried cod, is citrusy and pairs well with mashed potato and pickled capers. Meticulously executed, beef bourguignon with red wine sauce is complemented by delicious glazed carrots, mushrooms and pickled onions. The beef, shredded as opposed to cubed, is cooked to such perfection that it melts in the mouth. If you have room, conclude your meal with a dessert of chocolate mousse with chocolate crumble and chantilly or apple tart tatin made with red apples, puff pastry and cinnamon iced parfait.

Wine

Unsurprisingly, the wine list is predominantly French. The restaurant’s mixologist has created a selection of enticing cocktails.
