Setting

Food

Benjarong’s yum pla duk foo deconstructed is a flamboyant modernisation of the Thai classic crispy catfish salad. Beautifully presented in glass bowls, the crispiness of the catfish perfectly complements the pieces of crabmeat on top of a unique tom yum custard. Benjarong offers a modern update on the humble satay with large seared tiger prawns served with a smooth cauliflower puree and rich peanut sauce. To continue your contemporary Thai journey, choose the green curry in which the Australian beef ribs have been braised for 72 hours, allowing the meat to slide off the bone. The addition of asparagus adds a further interesting touch. To finish there is a good range of tasty options, not least cake kalamae served with a gooey sweet coconut sauce, and fudge ice cream topped with two crisp banana slices. Both provide a perfect ending to a fine meal.
