Food

To begin, the diner is offered bread with olive oil and lovely home-made marmalade. A fine starter is pumpkin soup which leaves diners fresh and heartened. The seared scallops are cooked to perfection and the cauliflower puree is divine, while the quail egg is a nice touch. Lobster and salmon tortellini is a mouthwatering mix of salmon, lobster tail and prawn. Foie gras is extremely flavourful and the caramelised apple pleasantly surprising. For mains, fillet of sea bass and rack of lamb are standouts. The sea bass is delightful, and well accompanied by the pappardelle, spinach and puree. And the rack of lamb is perfectly cooked with a herb crust and lentils and vegetables on the side. Round off the meal with warm chocolate cake, meltingly matched with coconut ice cream.
