Setting

With a charming interior of whitewashed stone walls and a Santorini-esque white and blue colour palette, Avra replicates the warm and lively atmosphere of a classic seaside taverna. It offers a menu of authentic and delightful Greek delicacies.

Food

Commence your meal with a light Greek salad—a refreshing mix of tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, olives, onions, capers and croutons served with a delightful topping of olive oil, oregano and optional feta cheese. For a main course moussaka is an unmissable Greek classic, a filling dish of spiced minced beef served with potatoes, eggplant, zucchini and bechamel sauce in the form of a baked casserole. Those who don’t eat beef can go for one of the vegetarian options or the sumptuous kontosouvli kotopoulo—a dish of grilled marinated chicken topped with a delectable mushroom cream sauce and served with fried potatoes. End your meal on a sweet note with baklava, a traditional Greek dessert that comprises crispy layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and glazed with honey.

Wine

A selection of Greek and international red and white wines. House wines are also available by the glass. Order a shot of ouzo—a dry anise-flavoured aperitif popular in Greece—for a truly Mediterannean experience.
