Setting

Chef Herve Frerard of Le Beaulieu fame has returned to the restaurant he started. Aldo’s offers an elegant spot to dine, with a relaxing poolside outdoor area.

Food

Commence your meal with endive salad. Underneath large thin slices of parma ham, a pile of crisp chicory leaves is garnished with a delicious mustard cream sauce. Escargots are good, although slightly overcooked. The main courses make up for it. Try the signature wagyu beef cheek with celeriac puree, roma tomatoes and merlot wine jus. Slow-cooked to perfection, the beef is very tender and juicy. Don’t miss out on the creatively presented and delicious Brittany dover sole served with baby carrots, potatoes and baby spinach in a tasty citrusy sauce. Portions here are big. If you still have room, wrap up in true French style with vanilla millefeuille or a cheese selection.
