Big news for the foodies! You may have heard that May Chow, chef-owner of Little Bao in Hong Kong and Bangkok, has been named this year’s Asia’s Best Female Chef by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Here to join the awards ceremony, she will be pre-celebrating by hosting a dinner party with some of her (and our) favourite local chef and bartender friends on February 19, 2017, at Little Bao Bangkok.
The banquet promises a Chinese-Thai family-style tasting menu prepared by chef-owners Thitid Tassanakajohn of Le Du, Rangsima Bunyasaranand of Little Beast, Dylan Jones of Bo.Lan and Chow herself. Drinks pairing will be whipped up by bartenders Jamie Rhind of Bamboo, Saimai Natarat of Bunker and Somkanay Singha of Bootleggers.
Highlighted on the menu are six signature dishes and four speciality cocktails especially crafted for the event. Some of the one-off dishes include red fermented short rib, duck shumai, grilled red coconut curry of fish wrapped in banana leaf and steamed crab with egg and rice.
Join in on the feast at Little Bao Thonglor this Sunday. With just 60 seats and one full round of seating, cocktails begin at 6.30 pm and dinner starts at 7.00 pm.
