Il Fumo Charcoal and Cocktail is teaming up with Estella Wine to host a French wine dinner on Thursday, August 31. The evening of Gallic flair will feature the likes of Chateau Teyssier St. Emilion Grand Cru and Moreau Naudet Chablis paired with a five-course menu masterfully presented by chef Nelson Amorim.
Following a welcome drink of Aperol Spritz made with sparkling Bortolomiol Prior Valdobbiadebe Prosecco Supperior, patrons can enjoy a first course of Piedmontese Fassone beef tartare and burrata from Puglia with chilled Champagne Charles Collin Brut Rose.
The second course consists of pearly barley risotto with Mazara del Vallored prawns and prawn bisque accompanied by the texturally-rich Moreau Naudet Chablis, a highly regarded white Burgundy. Next up, a full-bodied fruity Chateau Teyssier St. Emilion Grand Cru 2012 complements a dish of casarecce, ragu of Pyrenees lamb shoulder and eggplant cream.
For the fourth course, diners have a choice of succulent Limousine beef striploin grilled to pink perfection or tender octopus tentacle served with romesco and taggiasca olives. Both are paired with a well-balanced Phillippe Alliet Chinon 2014.
Finally, a dessert of grilled peach tartelle, ricotta and mixed berry sorbet served with a ruby port wine rounds off the meal.
The set price for this cornucopia is 2,400++ baht for food only, plus 1,800++ baht with the wine pairings. For reservations, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0-2286-8833.
