In favour of some backyard fun with free-flow garden feasts, refreshing cocktails, guest DJs, lawn games and feel-good vibes? Our friends at Freebird are hosting their second Garden Party on March 26. This time around, it will be a full day event with a bigger menu serving from 12PM to 9PM.
What are we most excited about? The food will be prepared by executive chef Dallas Cuddy and guest chef Jess Barnes of Opposite Mess Hall (that we miss terribly)—amongst the dishes include grilled squid with tom yum infused olive oil, rotisserie whole suckling pig with chimichurri sauce, grain salad with edamame, pumpkin and zucchini, Kentucky fried rabbit with green goddess sauce and almond cake with spiced pineapple and vanilla cream. So put away your fancy pants and enjoy some comforting, lazy-Sunday treats. See above for a glimpse at last month’s event.
