At an exclusive gastronomic event held at Central World’s ZEN Event Gallery last night, Thailand Tatler announced its top 20 eateries from across the country based on its definitive annual Thailand Tatler’s Best Restaurants dining guide. Now in its 17th year, for the 2018 edition 234 premier dining outlets across the country—150 in Bangkok and 84 upcountry—were reviewed anonymously and scored in four key categories: food, setting, drinks and service, and given a total points score out of 100.

While all 234 outlets reviewed can be considered among the best in the country, our honours list this year features the 20 restaurants that achieved a rating score of 92 or more. We are delighted to announce the top 20 best restaurants as follows:

Tied in 13th place, with a score of 92 out of 100 were the following eight restaurants:
Acqua in Phuket
Fireplace Grill
Locus Native Food Lab in Chiang Rai
M Krub
New York Steakhouse
Sirocco
Sushi Zo
The Dining Room

Tied in 9th place, with a score of 93 out of 100 were the following four restaurants:
Il Fumo
Le Du
Paste
Water Library

Tied in 5th place, with a score of 94 out of 100 were the following four restaurants:
Gaggan
Jahn
J'Aime
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon

In 4th place, with a score of 95 out of 100:
Suhring

In 3rd place, with a score of 96 out of 100:
Elements

Runner-up for the second year in a row, with a score of 97 out of 100:
Mezzaluna

And finally, in first place for a second year in succession, with 98 out of 100:
Le Normandie
