Italian food is easy to find—sort of. Go to any big city and you’re bound to be able to find pasta or pizza somewhere without straining yourself. But authentic Italian food? That’s a completely different story.

Introducing iO Italian Osteria, a modern-day Italian tavern that embodies the traditional Italian concept of conviviality and social gathering. Led by group executive chef and partner Anna Borrasi of the Sicilia Mia Group, the culinary team of iO is dedicated to serving up authentic Italian street food from the 20 regions of Italy.

One of the highlighted signature dishes at iO is the traditional plain and stuffed Roman schiacciata: freshly made aromatic Italian dough stuffed with options of truffle and cheese or tomato and parma ham. Other exciting menu items include the crispy porchetta pork belly with pepper and wild fennel, orecchiette with pork sausage in saffron sauce and homemade tagiolini with prawns and lemon breadcrumbs. For those who prefer smaller bites, the bacon roll and fried stuffed giant olive prove to be simple but hearty appetizers.

For the sweet tooth, the traditional Italian dessert at iO is not to be missed. Adhering to the restaurant's concept of authetic and regional Italian cooking, the dessert menu offers a variety of baked goods and cakes from the southern and northern regions of Italy. While the hazelnut and chocolate cake is rich and creamy, the citrus and ricotta wheat cake and the lemon cake are distinctively lighter—indicative of their southern Italian origin. iO also offers a fine selection of house sparkling and still wines and a wide range of cocktails for you to sip while enjoying the meal.
